A Private Pilot Certificate can be the beginning of a personal aviation journey or the first step toward a professional career. Your training plan should reflect where you want flying to take you.

How Private Pilot Training Works
Your training combines ground knowledge, flight instruction and practical experience, organized around the training path and pace that fit your goals.

1. BUILD YOUR TRAINING PLAN
Meet with Endeavour to review your goals, experience, schedule and whether Part 61 or Part 141 is the better fit for your training.
2. LEARN THE KNOWLEDGE
Develop the aeronautical knowledge required for safe flight operations and preparation for the FAA knowledge test.
3. TRAIN IN THE AIRCRAFT
Work one-on-one with a flight instructor as you develop aircraft control, navigation, communication, decision-making and required flight experience.
4. PREPARE FOR YOUR CHECKRIDE
Complete your training requirements, refine your skills and prepare for the FAA practical test with an examiner.
Your pace may vary based on your schedule, training frequency, prior experience, weather and individual progress.
What You Need to Get Started
You don’t need previous flight experience to begin. Endeavour will help you understand the FAA requirements and prepare the right training plan for your situation.

1. START WITH YOUR GOALS
Tell us whether you want to fly personally, prepare for aircraft ownership or build toward a professional aviation career.
2. MEET THE FAA ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 17 to earn a Private Pilot Certificate and be able to read, speak and understand English.
3. COMPLETE THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATES & MEDICAL
Before solo flight, you’ll need the appropriate student pilot documentation and, when applicable, the required FAA medical qualification. Endeavour can guide you through the process.
4. BEGIN GROUND & FLIGHT TRAINING
Your training will prepare you for the FAA knowledge test, required flight experience and practical test.
Already have flight experience? Bring your logbook and training records so Endeavour can review where you are and help determine your next step.
